Japan will help in the development of two major ports of Andhra Pradesh i.e. Vishakhapatnam & Krishnapatnam ports. These ports will be established into logistics hubs. Three more container ports are also said to be developed.

According to Mr.Naidu, CM of Andhra Pradesh, a project report is being prepared by the Japan International Cooperation Agency for investment opportunities in potential areas in Andhra Pradesh.

Soon the state will introduce a new industrial policy in which Japanese investors would be given single window clearance as Japanese are cautious of India’s red tapism. This new industrial policy includes setting up of a special desk for people who can speak Japanese.

An MoU has been signed by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry with Andhra Pradesh for promoting investmentdoneby AP companies in urban development, agriculture, food processing & IT. This MoU would also facilitate the development of industrial parks in Andhra Pradesh.
